COVID MADE ME A CHALK ARTIST
When COVID hit the United States in March 2020, Philadelphia went into lockdown for 4 months. Our city, along with the entire northeast, was ravaged by the virus. I started writing messages on my sidewalk in front of my house to all of the essential workers. I started getting messages on my Instagram from nurses, doctors, and all frontline workers, thanking me for adding a little happiness to and from their walks to work.
Art is so powerful in times of unrest and uncertainty. It is a small reminder that there is so much beauty in this world. And sometimes that beauty is created ( with love ) by a single person. <3
